Shaker card

Hi all,

Today, I made something new, I finally made my first shaker card! It was fun, I look forward making more this year.

So first, I stamped and colored with Spectrum Noir markers the whoots stamp from Art Impression. I hand cut them out and kept a snow hill under them. Also cut another snow hill to put in the background. Then, with 2 different dies, I made the trees and added on them and the snow hills Stickles for some sparkle. Finally, I put shaved ice in the shaker card!

I'm entering this card into these challenges:

Material used:
- Stamp: Whoots (Art Impressions)
- Dies: Tall birch (Memory Box), Snow Covered Stacker Tree (Dee's Distinctively)
- Shaved ice (Stampendous)
- Stickles : Stardust (Ranger)
- Spectrum Noir markers: GB9+TN7+EB5, DR2+DR6+DR7, IB2+IB3+BT5

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello,

Thanks for visiting my blog today! I just made another holidays card. This time, I used alcohol inks to make my background. Mounted my background on 2D foam and white cardstock. Voilà!

One of my favorite stamp

Hi all,

You know when you see a card on the internet  and you instantly know you MUST get this stamp no matter what? Well this happened few months ago when I saw this fish. Don't ask me why, but I had to add this fish to my stamp collection lol. I asked an online store (thank you Simon Says Stamp for this special order :) to make a special order for me and... never used it until today, can you believe it? Well this happens to me often, but at least, once I have it, I'm peaceful again ha ha. So finally I used this stamp. I showed the card to my boyfriend and immediately he said "oh wow what a great stamp, it's so nice". Woohoo, guess I was right to get crazy about it lol. I stamped it twice so I'm ready to color another one later... :)

Here is my card:

I'm really glad about the result. At first, I wanted the fish to be all turquoise and then, changed my mind and added some coral and orange colors. As a final touch, I added some Stardust Stickles and a Thank you sentiment. I'm entering this card in many challenges:

- Impression Obsession's Give Thanks!
- SSS Wednesday Challenge's Thanks/Thanksgiving
- SSS Work It Wednesday October
- SSS Monday Challenge The Letter N - (for my card, N is for Nautical)
- Crafter Stamper's Take a stamp

- Markers: GT2+GT3, GB3+GB5, CR2+CR1 (Spectrum noir)

When you change your mind...

Hi all,

I titled this post, When you change your mind... because this is exactly what happened to me this afternoon. I was waiting for a background I made to flatten and started to make another background in the meantime, until I realize it matched much more the card I had in mind. So I will use the other background later and started focusing on this one.

I made the background using a stencil and distress inks. When I saw the final result, I thought those colors really matched the butterflies I made out of my colored glossy paper leftover from my balloons this morning! So I added a thank you sentiment, the three butterflies and 2 ribbons and voilà! This card is much more vibrant then the one I was thinking for those butterflies, I really like the result and I hope you too!

I'm entering this thank you card in three different SSS challenges: So Glossy, Thanks/Thanksgiving and Work It challenges and also at Craft Stamper challenge.

Stamps and dies: Butterflies (Hero Arts / Sizzix) and sentiment from Bonnidée
Stencil: Mini Layered Beads (Crafter's Workshop)
Gloss paper (Ranger)
Ribbons: American Crafts
Inks: Onyx Black (Versafine), Mustard seed, Spiced marmelade, Barn door, Dusty concord and Chipped Sapphire (Distress inks)
Alcohol Inks: Mountain rose, Denim, Sunshine yellow and Sunset orange (Adirondack/Ranger)
Alcohol blending solution (Adirondack)

Thank you so much for your visit and your comments! As we say in French... un GROS merci! ;-)

Happy birthday

Hi all,

Today, I decided to create a birthday card. It's been a long time I wanted to use my glossy paper and alcohol inks and SSS Monday Challenge's So Glossy inspired me to do so! I'm also entering this card in the Craft Stamper's November challenge Craft Stamper was featuring the company Magenta so with my sentiment from them, I couldn't resist to enter this challenge too :) I'm also participating at the Addicted to Stamps's Clean and Simple challenge and Seize the Birthday's Anything Goes challenge.

Here is my card:

First, I sponged some alcohol inks on my glossy paper and then, cut the balloons with a die I had. My die actually made 8 balloons so I will probably be posting another card using them soon ;) I just love the effect of the inks! Added them with 2D tape on a white cardstock I previously inked the border with some orange Distress ink and added a orange cardstock. I also had to add a tape I had because the colors were matching so well ha ha! Finally, added the sentiment, embossed it and voilà!

Material used:

Stamp: Bonne fête (Magenta)
Die: Balloons (Lil'Inker Designs)
Alcohol Inks: Mountain rose, Denim, Sunshine yellow and Sunset orange (Adirondack/Ranger)
Alcohol blending solution (Adirondack)
Inks: Spiced marmelade (Distress ink) and Orange peel (SSS ink)
Papers: Orange Linen and White cardstock paper (Recollections), Gloss paper (Ranger)
Embossing powder: Super fine detail clear (Ranger)
blue/orange Tape

Thank you so much for your visit and comments, I love reading them!
