Sparkle birthday card

Hello,

I colored the stamp with Spectrum Noir markers and used a lot of Stickles to add more sparkle on the candles, the hats and of course, the cake! On the right border, I used a candle punch on which I also added some yellow Stickles. I mounted my turquoise cardstock with 2D foam for more dimension. Watercolor birthday

Hello,

Today, I'm finally trying watercolor technique with my Distress inks, after all these years. It wasn't easy, had to start many times over, but I finally made it!

I first colored the cat with my Tombow markers and blended the colors together with water. I also added some white fur on his belly with a white pen (but the picture doesn't show it much unfortunately). For my background and the balloons, I made 2 water color backgrounds using many Distress inks. I stamped 5 times the Party girls stamp, but only the portion with the balloon. I cut it out and draw some patterns with a black pen on 3 of them.  For my balloons, I used the ink pads but then, for my background I used the reinkers and thought this was much easier. My colors are much more vibrant! Once it was dry, I glued my balloons and the cat, and draw the twines. I stamped my sentiment (Happy Birthday) with purple ink and embossed it in clear.

I'm submitting my card to these challenges:
- Art Impressions challenge 180 - Watercolor and white pen
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Cute and Cudly
- Seize the birthday: The great divide

Material used:
- Stamps: Feline Flop (Art Impressions), Party Girls (Art Impressions), Joyeux anniversaire (Magenta)
- Inks: black soot, fired brick, wild honey, dusty concord, tumbled glass, mustard seed, barn door (Distress inks), Imperial purple (Versafine)
- White pen (Signo uni-ball)
- Watercolor paper

Party time!

Hi!

I made another shaker card, using the same technique as yesterday, recycling a coca-cola box and a plastic packaging instead of using an acetate. For this card, I cut out 2 ladies and the 3 balloons out of the Party Girls stamp. For more dimension, I put one lady inside the shaker and another one outside. I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I covered the balloons with Stickles. I put the sequins inside and closed everything. Voilà!

Balloons v2

Hi all,

This morning I made a birthday card with balloons on glossy paper and had too many for my project. So here is another birthday card using more balloons and stars I had left from my previous project. I love those alcohol inks and can't wait to use them more. Since we can participate 5 times, I'm submitting this card in SSS' So Glossy challenge again. I'm also adding this card to Seize the Birthday's Anything Goes challenge.

The cat seems very dark on the picture but it's gray.. I colored it with some Prismacolor pencils.  The original cat has only one balloon but I added 2 more :)

Material used:

Stamp: Fuzzy Balloon (Penny Black) and ARTHD359 (Artemio)
Die: Balloons (Lil'Inker Designs)
Alcohol Inks: Mountain rose, Denim, Sunshine yellow and Sunset orange (Adirondack/Ranger)Alcohol blending solution (Adirondack)Inks: Blue Violet (SSS ink) and Onyx Black (Versafine)
Papers: Card (Studio G), Gloss paper (Ranger)
Embossing powder: Super fine detail clear (Ranger)

Liquid Pearls: Cantaloupe (Ranger)

Happy birthday

Hi all,

Today, I decided to create a birthday card. It's been a long time I wanted to use my glossy paper and alcohol inks and SSS Monday Challenge's So Glossy inspired me to do so! I'm also entering this card in the Craft Stamper's November challenge Craft Stamper was featuring the company Magenta so with my sentiment from them, I couldn't resist to enter this challenge too :) I'm also participating at the Addicted to Stamps's Clean and Simple challenge and Seize the Birthday's Anything Goes challenge.

Here is my card:

First, I sponged some alcohol inks on my glossy paper and then, cut the balloons with a die I had. My die actually made 8 balloons so I will probably be posting another card using them soon ;) I just love the effect of the inks! Added them with 2D tape on a white cardstock I previously inked the border with some orange Distress ink and added a orange cardstock. I also had to add a tape I had because the colors were matching so well ha ha! Finally, added the sentiment, embossed it and voilà!

Material used:

Stamp: Bonne fête (Magenta)
Die: Balloons (Lil'Inker Designs)
Alcohol Inks: Mountain rose, Denim, Sunshine yellow and Sunset orange (Adirondack/Ranger)
Alcohol blending solution (Adirondack)
Inks: Spiced marmelade (Distress ink) and Orange peel (SSS ink)
Papers: Orange Linen and White cardstock paper (Recollections), Gloss paper (Ranger)
Embossing powder: Super fine detail clear (Ranger)
blue/orange Tape

Thank you so much for your visit and comments, I love reading them!
