Watercolor birthday

Hello,

Today, I'm finally trying watercolor technique with my Distress inks, after all these years. It wasn't easy, had to start many times over, but I finally made it!

I first colored the cat with my Tombow markers and blended the colors together with water. I also added some white fur on his belly with a white pen (but the picture doesn't show it much unfortunately). For my background and the balloons, I made 2 water color backgrounds using many Distress inks. I stamped 5 times the Party girls stamp, but only the portion with the balloon. I cut it out and draw some patterns with a black pen on 3 of them.  For my balloons, I used the ink pads but then, for my background I used the reinkers and thought this was much easier. My colors are much more vibrant! Once it was dry, I glued my balloons and the cat, and draw the twines. I stamped my sentiment (Happy Birthday) with purple ink and embossed it in clear.

I'm submitting my card to these challenges:
- Art Impressions challenge 180 - Watercolor and white pen
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Cute and Cudly
- Seize the birthday: The great divide

Material used:
- Stamps: Feline Flop (Art Impressions), Party Girls (Art Impressions), Joyeux anniversaire (Magenta)
- Inks: black soot, fired brick, wild honey, dusty concord, tumbled glass, mustard seed, barn door (Distress inks), Imperial purple (Versafine)
- White pen (Signo uni-ball)
- Watercolor paper

Défi de mars de Simple à Souhait

Bonjour,

Papiers à motif (The paper studio, Basic Grey)
Bordure décorative: elements stickers archaic (Basic Grey)
Attaches parisiennes (Toga)
Bling bling (Bo Bunny, Simon Says Stamp)
Fleurs (Recollections, Prima, Forever in time)
Encre: Tuxedo Black (Irresistible)

Colorful thank you card

Hello,

Today I'm showing you a card I made for Impression Obsession's Splashes of Color challenge and SSS Monday Make your own background challenge. This week-end, I made many leaves using my new die and alcohol inks so I still had few left. I first made my background by spraying my black ink, then yellow and orange ink. The thanks word was made with a die from IO. I stamped the chicken wire stamp on white cardstock with orange ink and mounted it on black cardstock and then on 2D foam tape. I glued my leaves and voilà!

Material used:
- Stamp: Chicken wire (Impression Obsession)
- Dies: Thanks, Leaves (Impression Obsession)
- Alcohol inks: Stream, Sunset orange, Juniper, Lettuce and Currant (Ranger)
- Inks: Black marble (Dylusions), Electric Yellow, Electric Orange (Irresistible inks)

Thanks for stopping by!

Another rainbow of thanks

Hi!

Today, I'm showing you the second card I made, using the same background technique as yesterday. I just bought this new leaves die from Impression Obsession and I LOVE it! I love how it debosses at the same time, it's gorgeous!! I made the leaves by sponging alcohol inks on a glossy paper. I just love this technique. You never know what the result will be and how the inks will blend. I stamped the sentiment with SSS ink on a tag and added it with 2D tape.

I'm submitting my card to these challenges:
Impression Obsession: Splashes of color! (my background is definitively a splash of colors!)

Great day

Hello!

Today I'm showing you a card I made for my grandmother. I love sending her cards to tell her I'm thinking about her. I was first inspired by SSS Monday challenge Leap into the unknown. When I make a card, I usually think about everything before starting it. For this one, I didn't have any plan or idea, I just knew I wanted to use my Memory Box tree die on the card.

I made 2 trees dies cut and stamped some flowers directly on my background, aligning them with the trees. For more dimension, I then glued the trees on the stamping so some flowers would appear behind the trees. I also stamped the flowers on another cardstock and hand cut them as I didn't want the full branch. I colored everything with Spectrum Noir markers, using colors matching my background patterned paper. For some texture (SSS Wednesday challenge), I added Stickles inside the flowers. Then, I stamped my sentiment with SSS ink.

I'm submitting my card to these challenges:
- Memory Box challenge #10 Blossoms and bunnies (used tall birch die)
- Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Take a leap into the unknown
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Touchy feely
- Addicted to Stamps Challenge #121 Glitter/bling
- Simon Says Stamp Work it February: Floral challenge

Material used:
- Die: Tall birch (Memory Box)
- Stamps: Blooming garden (Penny Black), souhaits (Lime Citron)
- Spectrum Noir markers: CR6+CR8+PL3
- Ink: Blue Violet (Simon Says Stamp)
- Stickles: Stardust (Ranger)
- Patterned paper (DCVW)
